Need for speed : Payback – Drifting all the way
Need for Speed™, one of the world’s bestselling video game franchises,
returns with a vengeance in the new action-driving blockbuster, Need for Speed
Payback. Set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, you and your crew were
divided by betrayal and reunited by revenge to take down The House, a nefarious
cartel that rules the city’s casinos, criminals and cops.
Need For Speed Payback sees the long-running franchise return after a two year-long absence. The last entry acted as a bit of a reboot and saw things shift from open-world racing to more of a narrative-driven structure complete with live-action footage mixing in with game models. Prior to the release of Need for Speed Payback I made a joke how this could be NFS Refund or NFS Retrovizor. After I invested more time in that game than she deserved, I think it would be better to be NFS Payoff. Namely, everything in the new NFS is about paying. For every possible thing, even the most ridiculous, the game pays you some points.
Call of Duty : WW2 - New chapter of history
Call of Duty returns to its roots with Call of Duty: WWII—a breathtaking experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation. Land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across Europe through iconic locations in history’s most monumental war. Experience classic Call of Duty combat, the bonds of camaraderie, and the unforgiving nature of war.
This year the Activision series used a joker card called "back to roots" in the hope of reconciliation of the haters and lovers, and that everyone in the new CoD will be happy. It is unlikely that this will happen, but it does not diminish the fact that Sledgehammer Games has made a decent WW2 game, that will not be ashamed beside the first two Call of Duty. Decently in this case that means exactly what you would expect from a Call of Duty game, and not much more than that. The campaign is firmly directed and scripted, and the multiplayer is recognizably conservative for the terms of today's shooters. The advantage of all this is that Call of Duty: WWII slides without any need for instructions. Nevremind you have you have to switch from the futuristic Infinite Warfare to World War II since both fronts in the performance of Call of Duty games are very similar.

Shadow of the Colossus - The 2018 remake is stunning to look at
Rebuilt from the ground up by Bluepoint Games and JAPAN Studio, SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS on PlayStation 4 system introduces the awe of its unforgettable world and towering creatures to a new generation of gamers, while allowing long time fans to revisit the beloved masterpiece with unparalleled visual fidelity and improved performance.
Many consider Shadow of the Colossus as the greatest game ever made upon its 2005 release for PlayStation 2. The game focused on a young adventurer who must slay a plenty of ancient beasts in order to save the life of a loved one. Shadow of the Colossus art design, story beats, large world setting, and involved boss battles made it an instant classic.

Assassin's Creed Origins - Walk like an Egyptian
Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty and intrigue, is disappearing in a
ruthless fight for power. Unveil dark secrets and forgotten myths as you go
back to the one founding moment: The Origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.
We would think that people are at
least partially interested in history when they enjoy Assassin's Creed games.
Of course, that does not necessarily have to be the case. One group have just
joined this series for love of history, other one love history only after they
have allowed Ubisoft to take them to this wonderful world, and the third group
is playing just for fun and history does not really interest them in real life.
But anyway, most of these players return year after year to the Assassin's
Creed series and they stand with it in good and evil.

PlayStation 4 is sold less than 2016, the president of Sony resigns
The PlayStation 4 had a successful year and is on the good track to overcome the overall sales of PlayStation 3, but sales results are expected to fall year-by-year.
At the beginning of the year the sales of the PlayStation 4 console during the last holiday season were down slightly compared to 2016. Not surprisingly, Sony data shows that sales of the console in the third quarter of Sony's fiscal year also dropped from 9.7 million to 9 million sold consoles.

Thief - New birth of old series
Step into the silent shoes of Garrett, a dark and
lonely thief with an unrivaled set of skills. The most challenging heists, the
most inaccessible loots, the best kept secrets: nothing is out of your reach.
When Thief
saw for the first time the light of the day back in 1998 it brought a real
small revolution as a game where stealth is a primary component of gameplay.
Sequels that followed in 2000 and 2004 only cemented the cult status. Of course
a variety of copy / paste games followed, but none had such as good quality as
the demo. Now, 10 years after the last game, Thief returned.

Diablo - It is the perfect example of a game that transcends its genre
Diablo invites you to enter a world of dark gothic fantasy. Play as a brave warrior, cunning rogue or mysterious sorceror. As you venture deeper into the labyrinth, you'll discover weapons, armor, and magical treasures, and develop your character's skills and abilities.
Near the end of 1996 in the United States, Blizzard North launched the Diablo game. Blizzard Entertainment, a world renowned video game publisher, that gained worldwide fame with the first and second Warcraft game, again confirmed it's name with a new hit that holds the average rating of 94 on Metacritica today. Regardless of what came out at the very end of 1996, Diablo grabbed GameSpot's GOTY prize and later the title of the best ever game by criteria of the same page. The madness that took over it in this world, so the game soon, at the beginning of 1997, was realeased to the global market. In 1998, the port for Mac was also released, and Climax Studio released PlayStation port at the same year and had a notable success.

System shock 2 - Truly scary, smart, challenging, fascinating, and disturbing game
System Shock™ 2 is a genre defining experience that established innovative game-play mechanics that are a staple of the FPS and RPG genre today. It has gone on to inspire some of the greatest titles of our generation with games including Deus Ex® and Bioshock®
In this post, I will talk about FPS's that inspired Bioshock series, but also who is in almost every way went far more than the floating city of Columbia in BioShock: Infinite. The BioShock series, you agree, delivered us a really special atmosphere in the underwater utopia called Rapture. The last game from the series, the Infinite subtitle took us more, among the clouds in the flying city of Columbia. But before Bioshock there was a game that took the player even further.

Postal - Take control of The Postal Dude as he battles to survive in a world gone mad
Postal (known as Going Postal in Europe) is the first game in the Postal
franchise. The development began in 1996 and was released in November 1997 by
Running With Scissors and Ripcord Games. At the time, the game was very
controversial due to the higher than usual violence and brutality, and
therefore was banned in over 10+ countries.
One of the most brutal game ever
made is the subject of this new Retro dose, and the silly, sadistic
entertainment that this game has been able to offer was outclasses only by its
sequel - Postal 2 from 2003. In 1997, a group of enthusiasts form Arizona
gathered under the name Running With Scissors and decided to make a video game
that was supposed to suit their own taste. I believe that they themselves did
not count on making such a sick game that the whole gaming community, various
psychologists and psychiatrists, and numerous supporters for banning violence
in video games will talk about it for years. This is the title that shared the
GOTY prize on the 2002 Gamer List under the title "Most Controversial Game
of All Time".
